Drum roll please........Alistrip has recently invested in a brand new tank and completely reorganised our stripping system.   This is the biggest news for Alistrip since……..well, since it first opened its doors some 15 years ago !
She’s about twice as big as the old tank.  For all you details people out there, that means that the tank can hold up to 6.8m long x 0.8m wide x 0.6m high.  (and don't forget that things can be turned over, so we can strip items up to 1.2m in height)
And not only can we now strip much larger items than previously, but we can whip through the work really, really, quickly.   So fast that we recently had the metal stripped and ready to return to one of our regular customers before he was ready to take it back!  I think his response was something like “Bloody Hell!”  (in the style of “Bloody hell, my keno numbers came up and I didn’t expect that!”).  Faster turnaround for you means faster turnaround for your customers which means…….. happy customers.
Can you tell that we're excited?  When you consider that, at the time of putting this posting together, the cost to scrap aluminium was a lousy $0.90 per kg, you’d be a bit crazy to contine the same old, same old practice of scrapping.
Do yourself a favour - grab your calculator and do the maths on the cost savings to your business to strip and reuse, instead of scrap, and you’ll be running to the phone.  Unless, of course, you prefer to increase profits via more and more hard work for yourself?  (which of course, means winning more business in this economic climate in the first place…..)
